We have been asked again to split the games section into genres
We are prepared to do this although its going to take some time (over 7000 topics)
but if the majority don't want this or are not bothered
then the games section will stay they way it is
So VOTE for what you want

I personally think that it is the choice of the uploaders.
Will it be a problem for them, will it take more time etc.
I have no problem looking through the games as many
people put the genre of game in the topic line.

There are so many hidden object games that it's difficult to navigate and find other types of games. At the very least, it might be good for those games (and Time Management games as well) to get their own section(s).

Agreed. The HOG games far outnumber the others. If that would be an easier solution and save the unpaid forum folks time, a HOG folder would be a good compromise.

If we are going to do it, then we will split all games
it saves confusion on what game goes where.
Otherwise we will be spending our time moving posts.

lol. I agree. I'm kind of a novice here and I admit there are a lot of games to sift through, splitting them into genres would sure make it easier

Yes, it would be easier to navagate. But isn't it an awfully big job? I'm getting more savvy using the search option....

I am a HOG player and it would be nice to have a separate HOG section.

going to keep the poll going for a bit longer
will make the decision regarding whether to split or not in the new year.

yes, it would be a great idea to do that, if its not too much work for the uploaders. and perhaps to be able to rearrange the topics by upload date (first post in the thread) rather than the last reply as some older games are already deleted, and there's no point in looking at those threads again

Well not many people are voting, i think perhaps a topic on how to use the search would maybe a better idea, it would save a heck of a lot of work.

I really wish, at the very least, Hidden Object games can be moved to their own section.

although the tutorial on how to use search would help
search only helps if the uploader puts in a description of what the game is or says its a HOG, RPG etc
Even though there haven't been many votes, the ones that have voted, the majority would like the games split
so we'll see what happens very soon

what will you do with the games that are a combination of puzzle, hog, and let's say time management?

games that don't fit because of multiple genres will go into a miscellaneous (misc) section.
thats probably the easiest thing

Have decided to leave the voting open a little bit longer
I know the majority that have voted have voted yes
but its only a very small portion of the registered members ( 54 from 18000+)
and although it may annoy/frustrate those that voted yes
we need to make an informed decision and do whats right without annoying the rest
